Big Indian ATV Club X-Mas Ride

Folks say in this neck of the woods there is little if any ATV riding left for 2009. I want to take this opportunity to say that’s not totally true. Especially if you like keeping your unit clean and riding at a snail’s pace. What we’re talking is parade style events. With the Christmas holiday’s fast approaching food drives with parades are popping up all over. ATV’rs in general are a giving group and what better way than helping someone in need. This time of year more than ever many need a little help and the goods (toy’s/food stuff’s) donated by these rides can go a long way toward helping the needy.

One such ride was recently help in the central Maine town of Canaan. With a good turnout on hand, a parade style ride was held through town with a cookout following.
Thanks to Denise Murchison, Brian Williams and the Big Indian Riders ATV Club for heading up this year’s effort. Also here is a great example of area clubs working together. The Messalonskee Trail Riders with Richard and Vicki Eastman leading the way had a big impact on the outcome of this event. Again thanks to both clubs for allowing us to tag along. We once again had a great time. Good for them and great for our activity.

Pictured are some of the activities that took place with the weather fantastic but a-bit cool. Check out the bear. We were told he’s very special and about 30 years young.
Then you got Francis Smith (Big Indian ATV Club) getting instruction from club President Denise Murchison, maybe she saying “Francis you better watch out”. OUCH!!
Also lets us not forget the Messalonskee Club float. Clean truck Dick.

Bring on the snow. We’re ready!
